1965 Shelby Cobra 427 Cobra Backdraft Racing

1965 Shelby 427 Cobra Backdraft Racing- Recent Trade In from a very good customer on a new C8 Corvette. This is by far one of the nicest builds I have ever seen. This one was built by Legendary Backdraft Racing in Durban South Africa and shipped to Jonathan Motorcars for the delivery to the original owner. Build number 1487 and it was completed 1/7/2016, the car is titled as a 1965 Shelby Cobra Roadster. Finished in stunning PPG Sterling Gray w/PPG Silver Strips and black leather interior w/5-point seat harnesses. The engine choice for this build is the legendary Roush 427R installed by Speed Fanatix bearing the engine number 427R-1246 paired to a Tremec TKO 6-speed transmission. The engine test performed by Roush showed 550 HP, 538 foot lbs torque, 70 psi oil pressure. Roush 427R Engine features include, 4-bolt main block, forged crank, forged connecting rods, forged crank and pistons with a 10.25: 1 compression ratio, aluminum cylinder heads, roller camshaft, roller rocker arms, single plane aluminum intake, Roush tuned Holley 770 CFM carburetor, MSD ignition, Billet steel flywheel, Roush valve covers and much more. Hillebrand Style knock-off wheels with performance tires. Ceramic coated headers with side pipe exhaust and heat covers.
